Many students may not know much about the Transportation Cluster. A lot of students may think it’s just one class but it’s actually divided into three seperate classes: Diesel, Automotive Technology, and Auto-body Repair.

The Diesel class, instructed by, Mr. Eric Enocksen, works specifically with 18 wheelers and their motors.

The Automotive Technology, instructed by, Mr. Pete Dijkman, works specifically with car engines, breaks, transmission and shocks.

The Auto-body Repair class, instructed by Mr. Richard Segura, works specifically with the body of the car. They work on the paint and the frame of the car.

After four years in the Auto-body Repair class, senior Omar Martinez has grown to really like the class.

“Working in the Auto-body class is a great experience for a job opportunity,” Omar Martinez said.

The Transportation Cluster welcomes any students’ or teachers’ cars. They will help repair cars at the risk that it will be done only by the students.

“I like to teach the students the best I can so I can help them be successful in what they’re working on. We don’t charge but it is nice to get donations once in a while to let the students know they did a good job,” Mr. Segura said.
