Miley Ray Cyrus seems to be all that anyone ever talks about. The well known ex Hannah Montana has taken a new urban perspective on life and music, which has led her to become the official “IT” girl.

   Her recent performance at the MTV Video Music Awards has created major buzz and has gathered a lot of negativity from the press and the public in general.

   "She's an artist. She's real,” her father Billy Ray Cyrus said on CNN.

   But not everyone seems to have the same opinion about Miley.

   “I feel as if she has lost all her self respect and that really all that matters to her now is the fame and the income that she seems to be getting,” senior Jennifer Aguilar said.

   The well-known performance included Miley twerking on artist Robin Thicke and her wearing a provocative outfit that showed more of her than we usually see or might want to see

   Good girl Miley has even gone nude for multiple magazine covers and her new music video for Wrecking Ball, which allowed her to break the VEVO record for the most views in 24 hours.

   “I love the song and I know the video is supposed to mean something more than it seems from the surface. Some people just don’t get her, but she’s an artist and that’s what she is supposed to do an artist, she has to grow,” senior Lily Bucio said.

   So maybe it is all for fame, or maybe this is just another case of an artist growing up and allowing their true selves to finally be shown.

   All we know is that Miley is at the top of her game right now and there are no signs that she is planning on coming down anytime soon.
